Happy Holidays 2020!

WOW! What a year 2020 has been. As I reflect back on this year, I can’t help but feel shock and gratitude. I am in shock at how differently this year played out from what I had imagined it would be. However, I am so grateful for my family, friends, health and happiness. I am also in shock at how I somehow managed to book way more sessions than anticipated since I moved to a new city and only had about two solid months to book photography sessions. So THANK YOU so much to everyone that had me CAPTURE THEIR LOVE <3, I am forever grateful.

I started off 2020 in San Diego, saying goodbye to Travis as he left for a six month deployment. Then I spent two months with my parents on a fun RV road trip through Florida, Virginia and back to their home in Colorado. I was preparing to travel and meet Travis at all his port calls for the next few months, when as many of you know my whole family got sick with covid in early March. That was a very unexpected nightmare that consumed our lives for months. With all travel plans canceled and our health eventually getting better, I was able to make it out to San Diego again to move into our military housing in June.

Travis returned from his deployment in July! It was so nice to think I had him home for the rest of the year and we spent all our weekends adventuring around CA. I started finally promoting that I was booking in San Diego and was so excited to get some photography sessions in the calendar. We found out last minute that Travis would be leaving again for another deployment. So I focused more on us, we celebrated Thanksgiving in October and Christmas in November before he headed back out to sea. By the end of November, covid cases were rising and even though I still had anti-bodies I wanted to be extra safe and really limited the amount of photo sessions I booked.

With moving across the country, starting all over in a new city and all of the uncertainty of 2020, I am forever grateful for the AMAZING PHOTO MEMORIES and FRIENDSHIPS I have created with so many wonderful people. I am a firm believer that being successful is more about QUALITY over quantity. I seriously can’t get over how lucky I am to get to follow my passion and deepest love of photography no matter where I live in the world!

I am really looking forward to 2021. I know it’s going to be full of so many great memories and so much LOVE. I also can’t wait to meet so many more people and capture all the LOVE in San Diego before we head to Washington State! Oh yah I forgot to mention that curveball that was thrown at us this August. Turns out we will only be in San Diego for a year as the Navy has other plans for us. Moving to Bremerton, WA July 2021.
