Family: Covington at Manchester State Park
I am so happy that Ashley recommended Manchester State Park for her family portraits! When it comes to photo locations I believe these two things are extremely important:
Easy access to parking because no one wants to show up stressed or late due to lack of parking.
Provides a variety of backgrounds that doesn’t involve a lot of walking so we can fit in as many photos as possible and not wear you (mainly husbands and kids) out.
This state park in Port Orchard, WA checked off these priorities and this family was so laid back, full of smiles and open to all my ideas - just what photographer’s dream of!
We started this session off at this old Torpedo Warehouse - such a cool location!
During your family photo session I make sure we get tons of family portraits, but also make sure to get individual mom, dad and kid portraits! Looking for a “must have” photo? Let me know in advance or during the session and we will make sure to capture it.

Just steps away from the old torpedo warehouse was a small path that offered these gorgeous ferns and trees. It felt so “WA STATE” since we are the evergreen state!
We finished this family session on the beach. It was high tide so we didn’t have much sand to work with, but the beach offered some great drift wood to sit on with the softest green grass background! I can’t get over how perfect this family session was and am so happy that Ashley knew about this great location!

During our photo reveal Ashley narrowed down her top three favorite photos and chose the Silver Collection. I showed her a mock up of the final 11x14 and 16x20 canvas prints on an actual wall. The final canvas prints look so AWESOME!!! I am so excited she will have printed artwork to enjoy in her home.
WHY A PHOTO REVEAL?
It is a stress free process to help you narrow down all your favorite photos from your session and pick the best photos for printed artwork. I LOVE photo sessions, but I seriously LOOOVE photo reveals. It is truly so much fun to relive the photo session together and If you have never hired a photographer that includes a photo reveal YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
I used to be a photographer that took your photos and then just emailed the final images in an online gallery. However, I quickly learned that the digital files would just sit online FOREVER (yes us photographers know when you download your photos!) and I would always wonder so many things… Did they even like the photos? Which photos were their favorites? Did they print the photos? What else can I do to make sure I have super satisfied clients?
After talking to a few clients I was told it was often just too overwhelming to pick favorite photos and they had no idea what or where to print their photos. Therefore, I no longer leave my clients hanging by sending them a gallery of images and saying "enjoy!” We sit down together via Zoom, at your house or my house and go through all the final photos.
I get to learn what photos you LOVE and which photos you really have no interest in. With a simple yes or no process we narrow down your favorite photos from the session. We discuss any retouching needed (i.e. people or objects in the background or a child’s booboo). I want to make sure you leave the photo reveal satisfied with every photo you choose.
Picking images to print can be super overwhelming. That is why I am here! We take time to figure out which images you want printed and whether artwork or portfolio pieces will work best with your lifestyle. I give my professional advice on the beauty of each product. I can even show you what different size photos will look like on your own wall! (ASK ME HOW!).
